New Rules
New Rule: Start writing again on a regular basis here at The Munich Times. If I am going to reject all of social media (except for my profile on LinkedIn that shows I am not some fake real estate professional), I need to at least do something like writing here and do a little bit of promoting.
New Rule: No politics. I’ve waded into the past a bit on politics and can’t stand it. Of course, what does that mean, no politics? Everything is political these days. I think it’s tone and if there is a demand. Less political is more about storytelling, more political is about telling people what they should do.
New Rule: Be positive, talk about new observations. For example, I went on a bike ride last week in Neuhausen and passed by within minutes, an arm wrestling tournament and then a skateboarding class. People are up and doing things, rather than sitting around staring at their phones, I love it!
New Rule: Don’t be afraid to ask her out on a date.
New Rule: Only sparingly use other peoples gimmicks like this New Rules structure. By the way if you are Jiminy Glick fan, check out his interview of Bill Maher. Classic!
New Rule: Don’t worry about people rejecting my writing topics. When I wrote “Perfect Village”, there was little concern in my mind on appealing to a certain demographic or ideology. This was so, because it was just my story and it was a work of passion that tapped my inner pain and the need to answer the whys in my life. Now for my next book, it will be fiction, and if I am being a critic to myself as a self-publisher, I need to pick certain themes, a tone, a pace, which many might find unappealing. It comes back to the old reasoning of not worrying what others think of oneself.
Latest Ask: Please check out my website if you haven’t read “Perfect Village.” It’s still got a chance to be that 21st Century Coming of Age story.
New Rule: Think, breathe, read, write, be nice, go on walks and swim laps, don’t cut corners, and hit send!
